The Reverend Charles Edward Clark, Jr. was born in Midland, PA and graduated from Midland High School before going on
to Slippery Rock State College where he earned his BA in Communication and his MA in Counseling. He holds a
Doctorate in Ministry from Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit, MI.
After finishing his MA, Reverend Clark began a career in higher education at the University of Arkansas. During
his career, he has also worked at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, The Pennsylvania State University
and Oakland University in Rochester, MI.
He was licensed and ordained to the gospel ministry at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Midland, PA where he served
as Assistant to the Pastor under the Reverend Jeremiah Hunter. During his ministry, he has been an associate
minister at several churches and he was the Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Altoona, PA before going to
Michigan. Reverend Clark is capable teacher and powerful preacher of the Word of God.
He has presented several motivational speeches and workshops to high school and college age students on a variety
of subjects including: Professional and Personal Development, Self Management, A Biblical response to Influence of
Hip Hop on the Church, Where There’s a Will, There’s An A: The Pathway to Academic Success, Preparing for Getting
Into and Graduating from the College of Your Choice, 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, and Fisher’s of Men:
Reclaiming Men Who have Left the Church. In addition to these, he can develop a customized seminar on many other
topics.
