Housing for Wayne County Residents
Starting April 4th, 2012 MSHDA is estabishing a Project Based Voucher waiting list for Benjamin Manor.
To qualify the applicant must be: Homeless or Chronically Homeless or experiencing Domestic Violence or have Special Needs.
There are 22 units: 17 two-bedroom and 5 three-bedroom townhomes located in Highland Park. Sharon Lapidies from Community and Home Support
will be accepting applications on April 4th, no earlier. Call her at 313-964-2566, Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 11:00am to
make appointments and/or discuss eligibility for rental assistance. All applicants must go through screening and live in the unit for at least
a year, afterwhich they can take the voucher anywhere in Michigan.

Program Helps Detroit Families Buy Vehicles
Ways to Work of Michigan helps families with poor credit buy reliable vehicles.
The program, which will be launched March 26, also requires applicants to take a financial education course as part of the loan process.
Matrix Human Services and Spectrum Child & Family Services will administer car loans and repair loans to families in Wayne, Oakland and
Macomb counties through the Detroit Ways to Work economic empowerment program. Persons seeking information may call Matrix Human Services
